Golf Tourney Philly Cricket Club

The 23rd annual Heroes Tournament was a great success on May 24 with 220 golfers participating and more than $21,000 raised for a number of charitable organizations. Donations are already being disbursed to a variety of charities.

On June 2, Heroes Tournament founder Joe Douress, along with committee members Pete Gray, Jim Boburka and Bob Moulds, personally hand-delivered a $6,000 check to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House’s Ronald McDonald Camp (see photo). The Ronald McDonald Camp is a special place where kids with cancer can enjoy just being kids. Held each August in the Poconos, it’s a week of fun and friendship and a chance for these special kids to experience new activities and acquire new skills in a nurturing, supportive environment. The Heroes Tournament has proudly supported the Ronald McDonald Camp for more than 20 years, donating more than $100,000 and covering the costs of hundreds of campers over this period.
